I need some advise...

My daughter Ashley wants to go to College for Verternarian....well she is going to be 17 in 3 days and odviously has a car and cell phone...she had s job but quit for reasons of comflict of intrest. Anyway I got her mid term progress report from school, 4 C's and 1 F....OMG that is not going to get her accepted into a University...she claims that the job had put to much pressure on her and took most of her free time...which I do agree it did..they got pretty demanding on a 16 year old.

now do I make a deal with her that if she brings up ther grades I will increase her driving privileges by 1 day per grade and let her have her cell phone if she does stuff around the house? OR do I have her get a weekend job again and risk the grades? OR do I do both?

she was in agreement that she needed to pay for her phone and gas in her car, which ment that she needed a job....but if that job started to affect her grades she needed to quit that job, school is much more important the a job at this point.

what do I do?

Where I live, that is something you don't see all the time, we are a small community.

Driving to work today I saw a man walking down the interstate pushing a babe stroller. At first my thought was "why is the man pushing his baby down the interstate in a stroller when it's 34 degrees outside in middle of rush hour". Well as I got closer I realized that he was homeless and the stroller that he pushed down that road had cased his entire worldly possessions. One of the objects that caught my attention was the large chunk of wood he has strapped on the side with some old bailing twine, obviously there to protect his life and all that he has. By the looks for the military green army jacket that he used to keep him warm made me realize that his is one of our brothers that our country discarded after the war. With my sister going to Iraq in a few months, she will be one soldier that will never fall in my eyes. Makes you really appreciate you family and Friends. Hold them dear to you. So thank you all my friends….you are my family.

well some friends have completely come together for us on Sunday....they put on a poker run in out benifit..this being we were only thinking that there would be a few peeps, not not all that many...but low and behold...a little over 200 people came to support us...they raised $4K..that will keep us going for a while...but it was the people that showed up...it was fanominal(sp)a huge reality check..there are people that care about us. It was a very emotional and humbling day. Just had to share

THEY WON'T LET ME LOG IN...WTF!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

I got a call from the airline that I had booked a 7 vacation Package in Vegas...called us last night to give is the best news..

Ok from the beginning...I had booked these tickets in August to go to Vegas at the end of October to watch the OUTLAWS race (dirt track) and we have friends that live there so it was 2 for one shot. Well come Sept my darling hubby fell and broke his pelvic bone and fractured his hip kicking a football to the kids...(leason learned)...well needless to say, he is not able to put any weight on it til approx the end on November, so therefore we were not able to go and the tix that I had gotten were unchangeable and unrefundable...$900 package was going out the window...so I write them a long letter and got a docs note and sent it via mail to Vegas...I did that like a month ago...as the days are getting closer and closer I was starting to get a bit worried...I was actually going to call them today if I had heard anything by then...but alas...they called us last night...Vegas had called the airline here in Loveland and told them that we have one year to use out package deal...WOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO...all is not lost after all...
