For those who don't know, the legendary CBGB has closed it's doors!
The last show was this past Sunday and parts of the walls, the stage, etc. will move out to Las Vegas.
And that's some fucked up news friends.
Bobby Steele is my mentor and blood brother. Bobby is the leader of The Undead. I'm sure you all know him. He has been very vocal about this news.
Bobby and all of our NYC brothers & sisters are really fuckin saddened over this.
Me, personally, the first gig I ever played in NYC was at CBGB. I never DREAMED that I'd live to see the most legendary music room IN THE WORLD close it's doors.
IN THE REAL DAYS OF REAL FUCKING MUSIC, to get a CBGB shirt, you had to fuckin' play there. These days, you can buy one at Hot fucking Topic.
I'll bet anyone a thousand bucks that these little mall rats don't even know what a CBGB is...
Where's the NYC music scene gonna be w/o CBGB????
I just wanna drop some respect to all NYC bands, because I know you are all fuckin' hardcore and you WILL keep the East Coast scene alive!!!
